Stage Coach Players has announced its second annual Halloween party and fundraiser. Stage Fright Night 2, will return to the Duke Ellington Ballroom on the Northern Illinois University campus in DeKalb on Saturday, October 28, 2006.
A Halloween party for adults, guests will be invited to dress for the occasion and enjoy music and dancing, live and silent auctions, hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, scary storytellers and magician. The most significant feature of the evening's schedule will be to illustrate the talents and abilities of Stage Coach Players' members as actors and performers, including scenes from several recent productions.
Stage Fright Night 2 is being held in support of Stage Coach Players to raise money for much needed operating funds and for building improvements to the 5th Street facility that they acquired in 2001. Individuals, local companies and business owners are invited to become sponsors for the event, which last year raised nearly $10,000. Donations of goods and services will also be welcomed for the auctions, and cash donations will help support the continued success of its Halloween fundraiser.
In their 60th season, Stage Coach Players is an all-volunteer organization whose members demonstrate their many talents as actors, directors, stage managers, stage hands, designers, and set builders to the community each year as they have demonstrated them every year of their continuous service to the DeKalb and Sycamore communities since 1947.
Tickets for Stage Fright Night 2 are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. Advance tickets will go on sale June 1 at Stage Coach Players Theater, 126 S. First Street, in downtown DeKalb, and will be available for purchase during the remaining shows of the 2006 summer season. They can be reserved by calling the Stage Coach Players box office at 815-758-1940. Box office hours are limited, but calls will be returned within 24 hours.
